From Richmond, Virginia, Prison Religion are a continuing practice to find the limits of both the musical styles they feel affinity for and their own music, even daring to deconstruct themselves over and over again. The last case of this act is Had Industrial B.O.P., released this year with the UIQ record label, where they take their rawness to an even greater point of destruction than in their previous works.
It is unlikely to regularly find projects that justify more the adjective “experimental” in their music than Prison Religion. Because Poozy and False Prpht, always with a sound between everything and nothing, encourage dancing but also total stillness, seeking to confuse every musical style they come across to the extreme limit. Hip hop, industrial, noise, techno, metal, hardcore. No one is safe from its chaos.
